Forward
For solo founders

You are the sales team, and the sales team keeps forgetting.

A founder's day is fragmented by design: a customer call, a bug, an investor reply, a supplier chasing an invoice. The promises you make in those switches are real work, and they live nowhere. Forward is a CRM built for the person who has no one to hand the follow-up to.

Where the work actually leaks

Promises made in passing

"I'll send that over Thursday" gets said out loud and written down nowhere. By Thursday you're in a different fire. Forward pulls those commitments out of your call notes and email threads and dates them.

Warm intros going cold

The intro someone made three weeks ago is still sitting unanswered in your inbox. Forward flags the relationships that have gone quiet before it becomes awkward to reply.

Admin you'll never do

You won't update pipeline stages on a Friday afternoon. Nobody does. Forward keeps itself current from email, so the pipeline reflects reality even in a bad week.

Context spread across five apps

Notes in one app, quote PDFs in Drive, thread in email. Forward attaches documents, notes and email history to the contact and the deal so you open one thing before a call.

A day with Forward

  1. 07:40

Open Do Next. Six things are due today, ranked, each with the person and the reason attached. Nothing is due on a weekend — Forward never schedules follow-ups you won't do.

  2. 09:15

Discovery call ends. You dictate two minutes of rambling debrief. Forward extracts the company, the budget signal, and the two things you promised to send.

  3. 12:30

An email lands in a thread with an existing task. Forward updates that task instead of creating a near-duplicate, and marks the quote request as looking resolved for you to confirm.

  4. 16:00

Call Checkup surfaces four people you haven't spoken to in a month who are worth a call. You make two of them.

  5. 17:50

Tomorrow is already built. You close the laptop without a mental list.

What you'll lean on most

Email that logs itself

Connect Outlook or Gmail once. Forward matches messages to contacts, writes them to the timeline, and reads threads for commitments — with a per-person 'don't track this one' switch for anything personal.

Dictated debriefs

Talk for two minutes after a call. Forward turns it into structured notes, contacts, deal updates and dated tasks — and asks a clarifying question when something is ambiguous rather than guessing.

Do Next, not a to-do pile

One ranked daily list, with overdue work rationed ten at a time so a bad fortnight doesn't produce an unusable backlog you'll ignore forever.

A pipeline you can hold in your head

Deals with value, stage and staleness indicators, plus attached quotes and documents stored encrypted. Enough structure to run a business, not enough to need training.

Questions

I'm pre-revenue. Is a CRM premature?

A pipeline tool is premature; a memory is not. Most founders lose their first ten warm intros to a full week, not to a bad product. Forward's flat $19/month is cheaper than the one deal you'd forget to chase.

Do I have to log anything manually?

No. Connect your Outlook or Gmail and Forward reads the threads you're already in, logs them against the right person, and pulls out dated next steps. You can also dictate a debrief after a call and it writes the notes and tasks for you.

What happens when I hire someone?

Add them to the workspace. Contacts, deals and history stay where they are — you don't migrate anything, and pricing stays flat per person rather than jumping tiers.

Can I get my data out?

Any time, as CSVs, from Settings — one file per table with readable names instead of database IDs. You can also permanently delete everything from the same screen.

Forward costs $19 a month flat, includes everything, and takes about ten minutes to set up: connect email, import contacts, name your pipeline stages. If it doesn't tell you something useful on the third Monday, it isn't earning its keep — and you can export and leave in two clicks.
