Terms of Service

1. Who you're contracting with
Forward CRM ("Forward", "we", "us") is operated by Wesley Swain, an individual sole trader (the "Seller"). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
2. The service
Forward is a personal CRM with an AI notepad: it stores contacts, deals, tasks, notes, and activity, and uses AI to help you structure that information.
3. Eligibility & your account
You must be 16 or older (or have authority to bind your organisation) to use Forward. You're responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account. Notify us at hello@forwardcrm.app if you suspect unauthorised access. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
4. Acceptable use
You must not misuse Forward. In particular, no: unlawful use, fraud, spam or harassment, infringement of others' intellectual property, uploading malware, probing or interfering with security, scraping third-party services through Forward, or reverse-engineering or reselling the service.
5. Your data and content
You own the contacts, notes, deals, tasks, files, and other content you put into Forward ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited licence to host, store, transmit, and process Your Content solely to operate and improve the service for you. You can export or delete Your Content at any time from settings.
6. AI features
Forward sends note text and selected metadata to AI providers (via the Lovable AI Gateway) to extract contacts, deals, tasks, and activity. AI providers do not train on your data. AI output is best-effort and may be inaccurate — review it before relying on it. You're responsible for your prompts and for having the rights to any content you submit. Forward is not a substitute for professional legal, financial, medical, or other regulated advice.
7. Intellectual property
Forward, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by the Seller and its licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Forward within your plan. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
8. Payments & subscriptions (Paddle as Merchant of Record)
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries related to billing and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation, and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from Settings → Plan & billing.

10. Service level
We work hard to keep Forward fast and reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may change or discontinue features with reasonable notice.
11. Suspension & termination
You can close your account anytime. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated policy violations. On termination, you may export Your Content for 30 days, after which it may be deleted.
12. Warranties & liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Forward is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind (including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose). We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total aggregate liability in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid in that period. Nothing limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury where the law forbids it.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold the Seller harmless from claims arising out of Your Content, your unlawful use of the service, or your breach of these terms.
14. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced via email or in-app at least 14 days before they take effect.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States. Disputes will be brought in the courts of San Francisco County, California, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
